Daily Meditations

I didn't make it out for a jog at all this week and it doesn't look like it's going to happen this weekend either. I'm not sure if this is the first time this has happened since I started last July, but I do try to always get at least one day in! I live on the top of a hill, so it's not as easy for me to just open my front door and get going. I tried that once and my back was sore for a few days afterward. Going up isn't so bad, it's the going down that really gets ya.
When I though about making this today's post, I decided that I should at least take the time to do something rather than sit and complain about not doing anything at all. So I pulled out my yoga mat and my arm weights and did some good old fashion stretching. Then I just sat for about 10 minutes and soaked in the sun that was setting outside my window. I tried to think about absolutely nothing, which is probably the hardest thing one can possibly do. One of the first things that came to my mind is something that I have always wanted to do called Vipassana Meditation. Now that it's actually in writing, I will add this to my list of goals of things to accomplish by the time I turn 40.
