Naps

I am a huge fan of napping. Maybe it's because my mom used to make me take them up until first or second grade! Anyways, I was skimming through The August edition of Real Simple Magazine and I came across this passage written by Cathleen Schine that just about sums it up for me...

A nap is not a nap without light. This is what distinguishes it from a good night's sleep. A nap is a stolen moment, not the natural culmination of the day. A nap is secret, illicit. It is sleeping during the day, and the day must be present and visible. There must be light - ideally dappled in a garden or slanted through a window; soft and filtered and gentle.
